June 17- Tornados Ladies Finish in 3rd Place for the Spring

The Girls Ramapo Valley Tornados U-19 team (Mitts/Corini) finished out the spring season with a solid 4-2 victory at River Dell. With great help from the U-15 Girls team, the Ladies showed excellent passing and focus in netting 4 more goals to finish first in goals against for the Spring with 33 goals in 10 games. Aileen Lennon netted a tally while Besarta Tanushaj closed a remarkable spring with another two scores.
June 10- Tornados Men Clinch First Place; RVSC Ladies Closing on an Up Note
The Boys Ramapo Valley SC U-19 team (Walkley) have clinched first place in their division with an excellent 8-1 record. Their convincing 7-3 win over Teaneck on June 3rd ensured the title. For the season the Boys notched 42 goals for and only 11 against in 9 games so far, a remarkable average. Congratulations to the team! The Girls Ramapo Valley Tornados U-19 team (Mitts/Corini) rebounded from two close losses to Wayne (lost 2-1) and Mahwah (a 5-3 defeat) with a resounding 8-2 win over Emerson at Torne on Sunday June 10th. They improved their record to 5-4 with one game to play but lead their league in goals scored with 29 in 9 games so far. Sunday saw Besarta Tansuhaj rack up 4 impressive goals, while Martina Kaldany added two and Aileen Lennon and Mary Gray added solo tallies. Lisney Bolhke minded the net for the victory. Solid play from midfield and the defense led to the win.
