Boston College, which won both the ACC regular-season and tournament titles, will host the winner of tomorrow's first-round game between UMass and Boston on Wednesday in the second round at 7 p.m.

Nov 14 - Senior Salute - Boys

The following dozen Mountie Men have seen much success in their time in Suffern Soccer and will leave a huge hole to fill next year.  With two consecutive League B titles and a record of 26-10-1 in the last two years the results are impressive to say the least.  We hope to see them come back to cheer the team next year.

Nov 7 - Senior Salute - Girls

These 13 Lady Lions have all contributed to the tremendous and significant improvement in the team in their 4 years at Suffern and are a big factor in the current team's success. It will be difficult to picture them not on the field in 2008 but the whole team and coaching staff as well as the Booster Club wishes them the very best as they advance in their studies when they leave SHS in the spring.  We truly appreciate their many contributions to make Suffern Soccer strong.  Thanks Ladies!

Nov 3 - Sectional Success:  Booster Club Takes in $1.5 Million in Hot Dogs and Hot Chocolate at the Boys Championship Games on Saturday

(Suffern, NY) - Well maybe that is an exxageration but we did gross about $1,500 on a brisk windy day.  Over 30 dedicated Club parent and player volunteers braved the elements to make Suffern Soccer proud. They manned the tables for the three Section 1 finals games held at the SMS complex in cold whipping conditions.    Over 900 people attended the first match up and the two games that followed had over 400-500 each.   Thanks again to a great group of hard working volunteers!

Section 1 Winners that will now Advance to the Regional Finals

(Suffern, NY) - Each title game was a hard fought battle of skills and determination and all three went to overtime to settle.  The Byram Hills-Lakeland contest (Class A) ended in a Byram Bobcats 2-1 win 5 minutes into the sudden death OT while the Hastings-Bronxville game (Class B) ended on a Hastings goal some 2 minutes into extra time for a 5-4 final.

The Class AA finals between Horace Greeley (#5) and Scarsdale (#10) was a classic.  The Scarsdale Raiders looked to be on their way when Greeley scored a header goal off a throw-in with 10 minutes to go to tie it at 1-1.  After playing even for two scoreless sudden death overtime periods the match was still undecided and the teams went to a shootout.  Five players from each side took a shot and at the end Greeley had converted all 5 while Scarsdale only converted 4.  Horace Greeley will now move on to the State Regional tournament but the teams will be crowned co-champions of Section 1 Class AA.

Byram Hills scores on a penalty kick that ties the game at 1-1 and allows them to win in OT.
