Oct 29 -  Varsity Girls Eliminated from Playoffs, Drop to Mamaroneck 3-0

(Mamaroneck, NY) - The Lady Lions (9-8-3) roared until the very end.  They returned to Mamaroneck a much different team than the one unsure and pushed around in Game #2 back in early September.  Fresh off their upset in Round 1 and riding a 4-game winning streak they played well in the first half and went into the break down only 1-0.  The only goal was scored by Mamaroneck's national player Stephanie Velez.  But the Mounties were unable to take advantage of the wind and were pushing into it in the 2nd half and unfortunately gave up 2 early goals to fall behind too far.  Continued pressure brought several opportunities but in the end it was not to be and a great season had come to an end.

This was an extremely balanced team mixing in 4-year starting seniors, a fresh string of Juniors and a number of excellent sophomores and freshmen to continue the level of play.  With playoff appearances now standard in the program, this year's advance to the quarterfinals sets the new bar likely to be matched going forward over and over.  Congratulations to the girls for a great year.

Oct 28 - Sectional Success!  Varsity Girls Advance to next Round with Shootout Win over John Jay

(Cross River, NY) - Coach Corini called the moment 'surreal'.  Besarta Tansuhaj had just blasted the 4th goal off a penalty kick of the shoout for Suffern and the girls piled on to the field to celebrate.  The 13th seeded Lady Lions (9-7-3) had shocked the #4 seed John Jay and will now advance to play #5 Mamaroneck on Wednesday.  It was the first time in many years that the Girls had moved passed the first round and a fitting finish to a long hard fought battle on the field.

The two teams played both regulation and two 10-minute OT's without a score.  Keeper Steph Reimer made several outstanding plays including one at the end of regulation to keep it scoreless.  Reimer made 21 saves on the day but the defense forced many of them to be shot early and were often wide or easy to grab.  Defenders Kelsey Rehain, Kelly Moresi, Danielle Ruthberg, Kate Wolfe and Danielle Lahm played strong and improved play in the 2nd half by reducing the number of corner kicks while Besarta Tanushaj, Jenny deNicola, Arielle Clynes and Elena Martin worked mid-field.  Faith Consiglio, Brittany Cruz and Julie Jefferson made several runs at forward but could also not break through the John Jay keeper.

After two more 5-minute Sudden Death OT's it went to a shootout to decide.  Steph Reimer started it off and blasted a score off the hands off the Jay goalie.  Then Reimer made the play of the night by stopping the top scorer for John Jay.  After Kate Wolfe scored with a low left post drive, John Jay broke through and made it 2-1 Suffern.  Sammie O'Brien converted her attempt and Jay matched for a 3-2 Suffern lead.  Alix Sadowski then hit the post for Suffern but the 4th John Jay shooter went wide right setting up Tanushaj's game winner (4-2 lead with one Jay shooter left) and the celebration frenzy.

The game was extremely physical with Tanushaj, Wolfe and Moresi all leaving the field at various points only to return.  The night grew cold and the play was intense but in the end the Mountie Blue persevered and won.  Congratulations to the Lady Lions!

Oct 28 - From Lohud.Com - Class AA - Suffern Gets its Kicks

The original entire article is at this link  http://www.lohud.com/article/20081028/SPORTS02/810280372/1110

CROSS RIVER - For 110 minutes, John Jay controlled the ball, the tempo and fired shots at Suffern's tremendous goalkeeper Stephanie Reimer. One goal almost certainly would have been enough.

Never came. No goals in 110 minutes. Finally, Suffern had the game right where it wanted it: a shootout.

"Penalty kicks were our dream scenario," Suffern coach Mike Corini said. "That's when even more of the focus turns to our great goalie."

No. 13 Suffern advanced to the quarterfinals of the Class AA girls soccer tournament with a 4-2 edge in penalty kicks over No. 4 John Jay. The Mounties travel to No. 5 Mamaroneck for a quarterfinal tomorrow.

Reimer had been spectacular throughout the game, making 21 saves as John Jay forced the issue. But the Indians couldn't get a shot past her.

"Soccer can be an unbelievably frustrating game," John Jay coach Paul Smith said. "We won that game in every statistical category there is, but that doesn't matter. And their goalie was great. She was good as any we have faced."

In penalty kicks, Suffern made four of the five it took and John Jay made only two of its four. (John Jay didn't attempt a fifth shot with the outcome already determined.)

Reimer started the shootout by scoring, then went to her normal spot in net and made a great save to give Suffern (9-7-3) the early boost.

"I'm used to dealing with pressure situations from all the different soccer I play," she said. "I'm always thinking positive."

After four rounds of the shootout, Suffern held a 3-2 advantage and turned to Besarta Tanushaj, the team's leading scorer. Tanushaj had battled an assortment of leg injuries throughout the game, but came back in overtime and then came through in the shootout, blasting a shot into the lower left corner.

"My ankle is really hurting but I was just thinking, 'Make this and we advance,' " Tanushaj said. "I made the shot and then I see all my teammates running out to tackle me."

The loss was a tough ending for John Jay, both in a game that it controlled and in a season that was tremendous.

The Indians finished 12-3-3, playing a schedule full of tough opponents.

"This is a hard ending for us but I'm really proud of all that we accomplished this year," Smith said. "We certainly would have liked to go further in this tournament but it can all end in one game."

Oct 25 - JV Boys A Team Win Rockland County JV Championship!

(Suffern, NY) - The JV Boys A team became the first Rockland County JV champions today with a great 1-0 victory over North Rockland. The team beat Nyack yesterday 4-0 to make it to this game. Keith Diaz-Albertini  scored three goals in yesterdays game.

The game was hard fought and Suffern was able to get a goal in the first half off a set piece.  Paulo Menendez played the ball beautifully into the box, where Kyle Quinn headed the ball towards the goal and Alex Hyman finished it by heading it into the goal.  The team made that goal stand up for the rest of the game as North Rockland tried everything to get the equalizer.  Keith Diaz-Albertini, yesterdays hero had to leave the game in the first half after injuring his calf.   Gabe Buhse came into the game for him and played very well.  Paulo Menendez  also left the game due to injury and Luke Vallow-Picarello played well for him.

Jared Chin, Sam Kim, Alain Kaldany, Gave Buhse, Jared Roth and Kyle Quinn all played exceptional on defense not allowing one goal. Roth and Quinn played extremely well marking North Rocklands central players.  Gabe Buhse shut down their striker single handedly in the second half.

Ryan Miller made some excellent saves to record the clean sheet. He played very well between the pipes and was the commander on the field

The team played great this year and was rewarded with the first JV championship. The players should be very proud of what they accomplished.  Congratulations!!

Oct 22 - Varsity Boys Win League Title Again! and Defeat Clarkstown South 5-1

(West Nyack, NY) - In another impressive season the Varsity Boys (10-5-1 overall) sealed the Section 1 League B title again with a 7-0-1 record in the league by defeating host Clarkstown South 5-1.

It was another All-Mountie (and heavy Seniors) effort  as Senior Mark Paljusevic continued his late season dominance with 2 goals, Senior Robert Kawasaki contributed 2 goals and Senior Alex Immerman garnered one goal and one assist.  Seniors Charles McCann and Mario Frascone added an assist apiece while Senior Carlos Garcia picked up two on the day.   Junior Keeper Jason Dinces made 5 saves while Brian Hertzman saw duty and picked up 3 saves in the nets.

Congratulations to Coach Wakley, Coach Callinan and the entire team for this great accomplishment.

Oct 22 - Varsity Girls Finish Strong, Dominate Clarkstown South 4-0

(Suffern, NY) - It was a special night at the SMS complex as the Varsity team saluted their 6 seniors playing in their final regular season game as Mounties in a touching pre-game ceremony.  Then, to avenge an earlier loss as well as to improve their sectional seedings, the team put together its best game of the season and shutout the visiting Clarkstown South Vikings by a 4-0 score.  The Lady Lions (9-7-2 overall) showed excellent offense, strong defense, outstanding goal tending and tremendous teamwork in winning the match.

It started early again when Senior Kate Wolfe launched a perfect right side corner kick to Freshman Sammie O'Brien who volleyed it out of the air into the left side of the net for a 1-0 lead 4 minutes into the game.  At the 25 minute mark Wolfe connected again this time with a shorter direct kick just in front of the left corner and Senior Besarta Tanushaj made a short pass to O'Brien who netted her second goal of the game.  With 8 minutes to go in the first half the turning point of the game arrived as Suffern was called for a hand ball in the box.  Senior keeper Steph Reimer made an amazing stop on the penalty kick with a dive to her left and the defense cleared the rebound to ensure the 2-0 halftime lead.  Senior Faith Consiglio just missed wide left to post another score heading into the half but played a very strong wing throughout the night.

In the second half the team continued its assault.  At the 10 minute mark Senior Jenny deNicola made a short pass to Wolfe who cleared the Viking defense for a breakaway and, after the goalie committed, made an easy score on the right side of the net for a 3-0 Suffern lead.  Finally, Tanushaj had a breakaway at the 20 minute mark but selflessly passed to Steph Reimer for her third career goal and the final scoring of the night.  It was a perfect play and represented the teamwork that defines this group.

Keeper Julie Jefferson minded the net in the 2nd half and made 3 saves to preserve the shutout.  Senior Danielle Lahm played remarkable defense on the night joining Kelly Moresi and Kelsey Rehain to keep the Vikings from getting close.  Arielle Clynes, Mikey Austin and Brittany Cruz all played well in the field as Suffern prepared for its playoff run with its third straight win, outscroing its opponents 15-2 in the span.

Our thanks to the Boys team for manning the concession stand as well as the Coaches for their pre-game ceremony and the families for all the players that came out.

Oct 22 - Modified White Breaks Modified Blue's Winning streak!

(Suffern, NY) - Suffern White and Suffern Blue had a tremendous game, but Suffern White came up big winning 2-1.  The score was 1-0 Suffern Blue going into the beginning of the second half when Aishlinn Keane scored her first goal of the season with an assist by Nicolette Savino.  The score was tied and White knew they needed to bring the thunder.

White was allowed a corner kick and Alyssa Rainford launched a beautiful cross in front of the keeper.  With the help of the forward line, Becky Scherwatzky, Ashley Murphy and Julie Conway, the Blue team was distracted and the corner kick was successful.  Suffern White played the remainder of the game with confidence and finesse.   Great offense was played by 8th grader Mackenzie Meldrim and 7th graders Alena Gallagher, Katie Hahn, Claire Leone, Katie Obojkvoits, Rebecca Peltz, Laura Stedge and Brianna Vandorpe.  Outstanding defense was played by 8th graders Ana Iona, Caroline Kinsley, Hayley Napier and Erika Negron.  Goalie Erica Grosser again played an awesome game with a total of 18 saves.  With this huge effort, Suffern White will head into their remaining games with a huge boost of confidence

Oct 22 - JV Boys Drop Final Regular Season game to C. South 2-1

(Suffern, NY ) - The Boys JV A team (10-6) lost to Clarkstown South 3-1 yesterday but treated the game more like a scrimmage since they had already clinched the top spot in the JV tournament. Suffern gets the number one spot where they will host Nyack in the semi final game on Thursday at 4:00 at the high school. Pearl River earned the number 2 seed and will host North Rockland who was the third seed.  The two winners will move on to the final on Friday at 4:00 at the Suffern Middle School complex.

Suffern has not played Nyack or Pearl River in Coach Rice’s tenure as coach. The team split the series with North Rockland this year, with each team winning at home. Suffern outplayed NR, at NR but in the end, the only thing that mattered was the 1-0 score in favor of the raiders. It is a very exciting time for the JV team so come out and support them.

Oct 21 - JV Boys Ready for the Playoffs, Take 2 of last 3 Games

(Suffern, NY) - The Suffern Boys JV A team (10-5 overall) went 2-1 in their last 3 games. They lost to North Rockland in a very tight game 1-0. The team had many opportunities but could not finish on any of their chances. They then came out and beat Ramapo 4-2 and Cl North 5-0 in their next 2 games. The team played well in both. They will be playing a very tough game today at Cl South and playoff position is on the line.

Oct 21 - Suffern Girls Modified White Falls to Pearl River 2-1

(Pearl River, NY) The girls modified team played an outstanding game against Pearl River but came up short in a  2-1 loss. Before the close of the first half, Clarie Leone carried the ball from center midfield and launched a beautiful pass to forward Ashley Murphy who successfully faked the keeper out and scored.  From that moment on, the team dominated the second half of the game.  Outside forward Julie Conway and outside midfielder, Rebecca Peltz were a dynamic duo with aggression not previously seen.  The entire team took more risks and ended up taking over 13 shots, which is the most that has been attempted all season.  Keeper Erica Grosser also came up big with 11 saves.  Despite our below average record to date, we showed real promise today.   The entire team played with real heart.  Come support the Girls Modified White team on Oct 21as they attempt to break Suffern Blue's perfect season.

Oct 20 - Varsity Boys Battle North Rockland to a 1-1 Tie (played Oct 19)

(Thiells, NY) - The Varsity Boys (9-5-1 overall, 6-0-1 league) engaged in a heavyweight battle with North Rockland on Sunday afternoon and emerged with a 1-1 tie.  The play was intense and physical throughout the match.  After a scoreless first half, Suffern finally broke through with an excellent corner kick from Charlie Pirc that was knocked in by Christian Dominquez.  But the Red Raiders responded back in less than 2 minutes with their own header goal off a corner kick.

Keeper Jason Dinces made several outstanding saves for the Mounties.  More details to follow.

Oct 19 - Varsity Girls Top TZ 3-2, Ensure A Playoff Berth

(Orangeburg, NY) - The Lady Lions (8-7-2 overall) entered the weekend on Friday knowing they needed to win 2 of their remaining 3 games to make it to Sectionals.  After disposing of E. Ramapo first they looked at how to take on an improving TZ team as well as Clarkstown South on their Senior night on Tuesday and decided to eliminate the pressure and played hard and tough to beat host Tappan Zee by a 3-2 score late Sunday night.  The win ensured their 4th straight appearance in the playoffs that start next weekend.

The game started out on the wrong foot as TZ scored just 5 minutes into the game off a corner kick.  But with 20 minutes left in the first half stopper Kate Wolfe got aggressive and stole a midfield ball and started off with a forward move and then made a solid pass to a streaking Faith Consiglio on the right hand side of the field.  Consiglio made an excellent move to beat the defender and blistered a shot that went through the TZ keeper's hands, hit the crossbar and came straight down.  Midfielder Besarta Tanushaj ensured the goal was over the line with an empty net kick to even the score at 1-1.  But TZ did not give up and with 10 minutes to go in the half made a strong play down the left side and got off a far post shot that Steph Reimer batted to the side however a trailing TZ player was there to also pop in the right side of the net for a 2-1 TZ half time lead.

Once again Suffern made some strong half time adjustments and 8 minutes into the 2nd half, it was all Tanushaj who made two big moves to defeat the right side defenders and cross a blast into the inside post to even things at 2-2.  Suffern continued pressure and control and with 19 minutes to go came the winning moment.  Kate Wolfe stole another midfield pass and took a long run down the left side sweeping past 5 TZ players before pulling up at the 8 yard line and sliding a low pass to the middle of the field where a speeding Alix Sadowski was able to get a quick foot on the pass and a flick to Besarta Tanushaj who was able to easily beat the sliding goalie for her 3rd goal of the night and the final Suffern lead.

Steph Reimer finished the remaining time with some solid play along with good team ball control.   It was an excellent all-around team effort.  The girls will look to improve their seeding with a victory on Tuesday to close out the regular season.

Oct 19 - Varsity Boys Win Tight Match over Ramapo 2-1

(Suffern, NY) - The Mountie Men (9-5-0 overall, 6-0-0 league) continued their season long drama with another sudden death victory.  A overtime goal by Mario Frascone off a perfect long cross by Mark Paljusevic proved to be the difference.  It was scored in the 3rd minute of play of the first overtime.

The Mounties got a key goal from Mario Allegra in regulation and Keeper Jason Dinces had 5 saves on the day for the win.

Oct 19 - Varsity Girls Return to Form and Topple East Ramapo 8-0 (played Oct 17)

(Spring Valley, NY) - The Lady Lions (7-7-2 overall, 3-3-1 league) returned to winning form after a winless drought of 5 games in which they only scored 2 goals.  They handily defeated the host East Ramapo Gryphons by an 8-0 score.

The first half started with a similar play of the recent drought with many chances but still no goals.  Eventually Brittany Cruz changed some of that luck with some forceful play and netted her first career goal with 15 minutes left in the half.  Continued pressure brought a second goal for Cruz and the Lions ended the half up 2-0.

During the break, the coaches asked the girls to change 'their attitude' and the girls responded with 4 goals in the opening 10 minutes of the second half.  Sammie O'Brien (1 goal, 2 assists) and Kelsey Rehain (1 goal) moved things along.  Then Steph Reimer collected her first career goal off a powered long direct kick and picked up her second goal of the day off a header in front a few minutes later.  A long and high Kate Wolfe pass in the front of the net was nicely headed in by Besarta Tanushaj (1 goal, 1 assist) and Wolfe rounded out the scoring with a left foot blast from the 18 with 20 minutes to go.

Jenny deNicola played well and garnered 3 assists on the day.  Julie Jefferson minded the net and had 1 save in the first half while Nicole Devivo kept her scoreless streak alive with a solid second half and 2 saves.  It was the  team's 5th shutout of the year.

The Ladies head to Tappan Zee for a 7pm match on Sunday Oct 19 looking to finish the season strong.

 Oct 19 - JV Girls Defeat E. Ramapo 2-1 (played Oct 17)

(Suffern, NY) - The JV Girls returned to the winning side of the equation with a nice victory over visiting East Ramapo. Mountie goals were scored  by Dana Bronen and Blair Croce with assists by Liz Singer and Emma CalinanJess Sofen and Michaela Mariquit split time in goal to preserve the tight win.

Oct 16 - Varsity Girls Fall to North Rockland 2-0

(Suffern, NY) - For the fifth consecutive match the Mounties (6-7-2 overall, 2-3-1 league) played hard and tough defense but fell to the Red Raiders again 2-0 in the last game of the season at SHS.  The Lady Lions kept an aggressive Red Raider team at bay and the first half ended 0-0.  Solid goaltending and some exceptional saves from Steph Reimer led the way with Kelly Moresi, Kelsey Rehain, Danielle Ruthberg and Kate Wolfe clearing passes and shots consistently.  Besarta Tanushaj and Jenny DeNicola played strong as well and came back from midfield to contribute to the defense.

With 25 minutes to go in the 2nd half North Rockland finally broke through on a controversial goal.  Reimer made 3 successive saves and finally landed on the ball on the line.  But the referee claimed the ball had totally crossed and awarded the goal to the Red Raiders.  A deflated Mountie team saw things slip one minute later when North Rockland banged a 25 yarder into the far right corner of the net for a 2-0 lead.

Suffern had two closing chances to score when a long Kate Wolfe direct kick to Besarta Tanushaj created a collision with Raider goalie Gabby Curtis who was injured and left the game after the play.  Another long pass to Sammie O'Brien in the closing minute appeared promising but was defended.

On the day Steph Reimer came up with 20 big saves, her best effort of the year by far.  The girls visit East Ramapo on Friday with plans to get back to .500.

Oct 16 -  Boys Modified Blue, Now 5-1, Blanks Nyack "A" 1-0
(Suffern, NY) - The Suffern Boys Blue Modified team (5-1-0 overall) defeated Nyack "A" by a score of 1-0 on a hard fought, physical, closely contested game.  Both teams had scoring opportunities. But thanks to solid goaltending by Matt Hernandez and excellent defense and midfield play, no scoring opportunity by Nyack went without a challenge.  Suffern finally netted a goal with four minutes left in the game on a long ball by defender David Wolfson, which made its way through their keeper's hands.  Our forwards kept the pressure on their defense making excellent runs from start to finish.  Great team effort!!

Oct 16 - JV Girls Battle North Rockland A Team, Lose 3-1(played Oct 15)

(Suffern, NY) - The JV Girls battled the other North Rockland JV team and lost 3-1 at SHS.   The Mountie goal was scored by Jen Cohen on an assist from Alexa Slutsky.  The overall game was very aggressive on both sides and Michaela Mariquit played well in goal for the Mounties and made some excellent saves.

Oct 15 - Varsity Girls Tie Again, Play Pearl River to a 1-1 Final

(Pearl River, NY) - The Lady Lions (6-6-2) ended up in a tie with Pearl River 1-1 in both the game as well as for first palce in the annual 4-team tournament.  The Mounties got on the board early when at the 5-minute mark of the first half a hand ball was called in the Pearl River box.  Besarta Tanushaj deposited her team leading 11th goal in the right side of the net and Suffern took an early 1-1 lead.  But with 17 minutes to go in the half, a Suffern foul in the box allowed the Pirates to also take a penalty kick.  Keeper Steph Reimer made a nice diving save to her right and got her hands on the ball but the force was too much and the score was tied at 1-1.

For the next 77 minutes the teams exchanged various attempts to break the deadlock but to no avail.  Kelly Moresi and Kelsey Rehain played well on defense and Arielle Clynes had a strong midfield game.  Suffern played extremely well in the second half with numerous pressure.  There was no shootout to decide the tournament winner and the Mounties and Pirates will be co-champs for 2008.

In the consolation match Clarksotwn North defeated Burke 3-2.  The Mounties next play North Rockland at home at SHS.

Oct 12 - Varsity and JV Girls Teams Fit to be Tied; Host Cl. North  and Tie 0-0 and 1-1

(Suffern, NY) - The Varsity Girls (6-6-1 overall, 2-2-1 league) kept taking the shots but none could break through the North goalie and a hard fought game ended after two 10-minute overtime periods at 0-0.  The offense, which had scored 30 goals in its first 10 games, has gone cold of late with only 1 goal in the last three.  Mountie keeper Steph Reimer only had 4 saves on the night while Suffern mustered 12 shots on goal vs. the Rams.  Brittany Cruz had a strong game at forward and narrowly missed the game winner late in the contest, while Kelsey Rehain led the defense to another shutout.

(West Nyack, NY) - The Lady Lions (6-6-0 overall, 2-2 league) lost their 2nd league game of the year in a tight contest vs. the Clarkstown South Vikings.  The team came out very flat in the first half with very little scoring opportunities and a 15-yard right side blast from South's Kaitlyn Greeley gave South a 1-0 half time lead.  The girls seemd tired and not focused.

The girls came out stronger in the 2nd half and Besarta Tanushaj just missed the equalizer less than 3 minutes into the half.  Suffern kept strong pressure on South and mounted shot after shot but with no avail.   South's Greeley added another score when a direct kick went wide of the net and a collision with Suffern's keeper Steph Reimer occured and knock the ball loose for South to push forward into the goal with 24 minutes to go.  Suffern stepped up its game even more and poured on many shots and Faith Consiglio finally connected for the Mounties with 7 minutes remaining.  A closing minute corner kick from Kate Wolfe was nicely headed by Tanushaj towards the left side of the net but the South keeper made an outstanding save to preserve the win for the hosts.

In the 2nd half keeper Steph Reimer made several excellent saves including one diving grab at a point blank shot.  However Frances Kentimentos was able to sprint through a line and added an insurance tally.  On the day Reimer made 6 saves as the Suffern defensive team of Kelsey Rehain, Kelly Moresi anf Faith Consiglio forced North Rockland to take shots earlier than they wanted to and they went wide or high throughout the day.  It was a strong team effort all around.

Oct 2 - Lady Lions Deliver Another OT Win; Defeat Burke 4-3 in First Round of Pearl River Tournament

(Pearl River, NY) - The Varsity Girls (5-4-0) won their 5th game in their last 6 tries with another exciting overtime win, this time over always tough Burke Catholic.  It was a back and forth contest with Suffern scoring often but then quickly matched by Burke for most of the match.

Besarta Tanushaj notched another goal early for the Mounties with a quick strike about 10 minutes into the game.  But Burke knotted it up for a 1-1 half.  Numerous opportunity to pad the Mounties lead just went wide or high.

Sammie O'Brien made an outstanding goal for a 2-1 Suffern lead as the second half got underway.  She made a nice slide to re-direct an Alix Sadowski shot over a surprised goalie.  But Burke tied it again to force OT.   Then Kate Wolfe nailed a 35 yard direct kick just under the crossbar in the first overtime to appear to seal it but Burke found a way to score and the second OT began at 3-3.  With 5 minutes left a nice Elena Martin pass to Besarta Tanushaj allowed her the chance to fake the goalie and she was left with an empty net for a tap in.  The defense stiffened to finally take the game which started in cold rain and ended in sunshine.

Steph Reimer played goal the entire game and made some excellent saves to keep the team in it for those winning scores.  Brit Cruz had a strong game at midfield.

The Mounties will meet Pearl River in the final after the Pirates topped Clarkstown North 2-0 in the other match.  Over the last 4 years in the tournament Suffern has now split with Burke, each taking two games, with the last victory over Burke coming in the finals in 2006.  The Ladies take on East Ramapo in league play on Friday at SHS.
